Concert was formed by two former members of Opus 5: Luc Gauthier (guitar) and Christian Racine (bass/vocals), joined by Denis Toupin (drums). They only released one self-titled album in 1980. By then, progressive rock music had all but vanished. These former classically trained artists therefore tried their luck at harder rock, which bands like Offenbach and Corbeau were producing with much success. Afterwards, Gauthier went on to operate his own recording studio.
